Common examples are lavender oil, rosemary oil, sandalwood oil, rose oil. For aromatherapy massage specific essential oils are chosen for their therapeutic properties and combined with the massage carrier oil. Thus, they are absorbed through the skin into the body. As the use of essential oils for massage adds an additional cost for the therapist, usually aromatherapy massage is offered at a higher price than a standard massage.
